The UBC Red Cross International Club serves as a main connection point between UBC students and the Canadian Red Cross Lower Mainland Office. We focus on fundraising and awareness raising primarily around international events but also on the national level. In the past our campaigns have focused on a wide variety of issues including, but not limited to, landmines, war affected children, Southern Africa Food Crisis, September 11, 2001 attacks on Iraq, and the war in Iraq.

This year our focus is primarily on a campaign to raise funds for those in Afghanistan. We will be having both fundraising events and awarness campaigns. A few of the specific events that are in action right now include a pizza sale in October, a First Aid Course in November, and weekly volunteering at a local soup kitchen.

We are always looking for more people to get involved and if you are interested you are welcome to come to any of our meetings which are held on Wednesday's at Noon in Woodward G57.
